Hello guys. I will be upgrading soon from a 75 to a 135. I currently use a t5 fixture and am very happy with it. I however have 2 175w pendants from sunlight supply in my possesion. Will I be able to pull this off using only 2 pendants with a couple t5's for supplimentation. This will save me from buying a 72" fixture by using what I allready have. I have seen of people doing it with only 2 mh fixtures and have seen good results but don't get much good feedback in the area of using only 2 pendants or reflectors. They however were using 250w bulbs. One more option is when I pick up the tank he has a 250w mh reflector and ballast that he would let go pretty reasonable. Would 2 175's on each end and the 250 in the middle do ok if I used the same brand of bulbs and same color or would it still look odd. Any input appreciated. My most concern is getting enough penetration and can probably get enough spread with supplimental lighting. I mostly keep softies, LPS and would like to keep some caps in the future.
    Thanks

The 175 watt Iwaskai 15k bulb produces more par than most 250 watt bulbs and produces a nice whitish color. It will be more than enough light for your set-up.
