Currently looking to upgrade my lighting. I currently have a 35w fluval led lighting system. It seems to be okay for what I have for corals at the moment (shrooms, and a few kinds polyps) but would like to eventually get into more corals. Any suggestions on brands, lighting styles (led, vho, ho, mh), or anyone happen to be selling a lighting system. I have a 60 gallon tank (4'x2'x1'). Thanks!

What is your budget? That will help people make suggestions that are in your range. I also recommend using the search function as this topic has been brought up often. Tons of good info already written that will help you narrow down your choice on the pros and cons of each type. I will be selling an ecoxotic panorama pro LED bar next week. I believe it is just under 1 year old. I will check my posts ans confirm before i list it on the for sale forum. It will come with the splitter and 2 dimmers so you can control the white vs blue light levels.

Pm me if interested. I will sell it for less than half of what i paid as it is of no use to me when my new lights arrive. If you arent interested, no worries! Lighting is a personal decision. Some people prefer the way metal hallides look vs LED for example. Others love the shimmer a kessil produces while some absolutely hat the disco shimmer.

I also have a combo t5/metal hallide light that i will be selling. 4 t 5 bulbs and 2 metal hallide bulbs built in. Also has a few moonlight leds built in but they are not very strong. It is older and came with my tank about a year ago.

If you're in Des Moines anytime soon you can have my T5 48 inch fixtures for $20 each. One is a 6 bulb and the other a 2 bulb.
