What's the purpose of adding additional lights? Are you unhappy with the current color/spectrum, or are you wanting more light to keep coral that requires more light?

Honestly, unless you already have the PC's and you arent having to purchase them, I would suggest looking at other alternatives, but that is just my opinon.

Can you build into a canopy on that thing and do a DIY light system? DONT DO PC's!!!! Do T5's and stick a couple 4' ATI purple/special blue in there and call it a day! ATI bulbs are AMAZING!

Well...I just personally have never been a fan of PC's nor have I had any success with them from the times I've used them. I know there are others who have had some success, but those cases are usually nothing spectacular. The PC bulbs are also very expensive considering you have to replace them about every 9 months.

I don't know a lot about Led's and I feel most comfortable using Metal Halides....Many people will probably say that Metal Halides & T-5's are old technology, but they are both proven to work well. You can find a lot of good deals on used setups as so many people switch to LED's these days and pretty much just give away the setups for next to nothing.

Heck, if you wait another year or two, LED's will probably be nearly 1/2 the cost they are now as there are so many different companies now offering fixtures trying to compete.
