Does anybody know where I can find live feeder shrimp in IA preferably central IA? I just bought a new leaf fish and need to get some live food for him.

    Thanks!

They are freshwater feeder shrimp. I have been reading and everything says that freshwater feeder shrimp are just as good as the saltwater ones. The only nice thing about saltwater ones is that you don't have to setup a new fw tank for them.

Are you talking abought freahwater african leaf fish, if so they are awesome fish! I have seen feeder shrimp at petco. I think what your looking for is actually ghoast shrimp. when you go into the pet store maybe if you ask for ghoast shrimp they might have a better idea of what your looking for. When i had them i used to feeed them baby guppies. I would just keep a few adults and collect the fry to feed my leaf fish.Hope thiat helps.

OOps just read the rest of the responses. you must have saltwater leaf fish? Ive always fed ghoast shrimp which are freshwater to predatory fish such as lions and never had any problems. Suposedly they have a lower fat content which is ok for saltwater fish.
