Looking for blue Reef Brite 36 inch tech led strip.
I have LPS and sps to trade. Also have a wp40 power head and a 16k Maxispect Razor Nano.
If I dig through some totes I can probably find other stuff for trade. Let me know thanks.

  2. Sorry I don't have one but have a quick question regarding the reefbrites. For a 48" tank would you suggest the 48" reefbrites or 36" reefbrite? I just imagine there may be a lot of light spillage with the 48" model. Thanks

I run 2 48 inch reef bites hooked on to my halide fixture. My tank is 48 inches wide. I have them angled in towards middle with no problems.
Depends how high you go. My fixture is 9 inches above the tank. If you get much higher you will probably have some light spill.
If you can angle the in a bit you will be fine.
I am using the tech strips not the xho. Mine are only supplements. If going for main lights go xho.

I do run a 36 inch reef Brite on my other 120 4ft tank. It's hooked to a 36in t5 fixture. That's what I want the other for. It works good as well.

The light spill on this is from the halides

36 inch fixture with 36 inch reef brite.

  5. Thanks for the advice. For my purpose I plan to get one fixture now to hang on to an API 6 (or 8) bulb ATI fixture for my standard 75gal. When I upgrade to a 180gal, will add another reefbrite to the opposite side. With adding them to a T5 setup, would you suggest the strips or xho? Seems either a 36" or 48" will work. Thanks again

When you upgrade to a 180 you gonna want the 60 inch 8 bulb. On a 75 6 bulb is plenty.
I haven't tried the xho version yet. It's supposed to be similar output as a t5 bulb.
Depending on what you want to do. Like use for the pop of the royal blues and extend your photo period I would go tech.
If your looking for more light plus the pop xho.
Get a reef Brite same size as your ATI. They bolt right up to the sun power no drilling required. Just remove the 2 shroud screws and screw reef Brite brackets right on.
    Takes like 2 minutes.

There is a LA Fish Guys YouTube video where he is lighting his new 180 with 4 xho strips. 2 blue 2 white. Hooked to his apex.

  7. Great info, thank you
