I'm looking for a sump for my new 400g build. I'll have an open footprint of about 56 x 32 under my stand so I'm leaning towards a tank that can maximize the space as much as possible... ideal would be a 48x24x24 (120G tall). It doesn't need to be anything fancy (I've also considered using a stock tank) and I'd prefer it not to be drilled/RR.

Let me know what's out there!

Bronson is a great option or I was just at SOM and he has a plain old 120 sitting there that was used, sure he would cut a deal on that. It was drilled for one bulkhead but it was in the back towards the top, super easy to plug. Just another option, good luck.

Just go with stock tank. Cheap and easy. I use one for a basement sump. I went with a 70 gallon tank. I had to drill it for return pump. If I remember right it was $80. Been running it for 2 years or so.

I'll try giving some stores a try to see if they can order a 120g for a reasonable price. If I can't find a cheap 90-125g tank I'll probably end up going with a stock tank at least temporarily. My only hold up with a stock tank is that it's going to be under a stand so I'd prefer that it be transparent from the side just so I can more easily see what's going on. It also seems like installing baffles may be a bit more challenging in a stock tank.

So I'll try one more time... anyone have a used 48" tank in the 90-125g range they are looking to part with?
