I've been looking for several months, but havent found the right fit yet. I want something under 30 pounds and female. I want a dog with long fluffy hair that plays with toys and loves to snuggle.  If anyone knows where i could find a dog or puppy to adopt, please let me know......

Hooray for adopting! I bet you would like a long haired dachsund. A friend of mine has one and it is very playful and loves to hang out with ya. And they keep your yard free of badgers!

****zu or bischon or a mix. VERY lovable dogs and ours just never barks. She weighs about 18 lbs and loves to play. Personally I think a mix is the way to go with these little dogs instead of a purebreed...just my opinion.

Where are you located? Animal Rescue League of Iowa
That is their Facebook page......they have lots of pets/dogs that they show on FB.  They are mainly located around Des Moines I believe.

I don't have too many badger issues here in the city, but I will most certainly keep that in mind! I do hear that the Dauchsons have some join issues and I really want a dog i can play with and not be worried i'd hurt the lil guy. Dauchsons seem so fragile to me.

I would prefer a mixed dog, I've had mutts (now called designer dogs) most of my life. I want something with fluffy hair too!

I am located in Council Bluffs Iowa. I go to the local shlters a couple times a week, and every time I get there, the doggie I was viewing on the website is adopted literally minutes before I arrive. I've even come an hour before the place opens, and oddly enough a family will have been there 2 hours before they open! I did find one that I was totally in love with, but I kept seeing this lil girl peek into the room where I was playing with the dog. So, I opened the door and let her in... And she said she had come to meet this particular dog. Long story short, I could not take that pup home after meeting that lil girl, so now she has a new best friend! I will go within a 2 hour radium of where I live to find a dog. I just wanna make sure we will be a happy match.

I am soooooo excited! This dog will be queen of the castle!
