LOOKING FOR A SKIMMER!

    I am looking for a skimmer for my sump for a reasonable price please?  We have a 125 gal and the skimmer we have in our sump right now is not working very well.  also with the skimmer were also looking for the pump to be included.  Please let me know if there are any available by pm or through this thread I am scared my skimmer will give out soon! Also I am interested in buying a calcium reactor at a reasonable price so if you have any available pm me thanks!

    Hey Natasha,

    I dont have anything to sell you, what kind of skimmer do you have now, and what is the issue with it?

    The only reason I ask is I was having a ton of problems with mine & changed the impeller. It made a world of difference.

    I have a Red Sea Berlin Skimmer paid I think 225 new. Used it just a couple months then we went in sump. I'd take 125$ complete with the pump

    do you know what kind of red berlin skimmer it is? how has it been for you do you like it at all? and does it fit in your sump pretty well? I have a 30 gallon sump. Please let me know. this skimmer here is giving me a headache and I think i just need a new one ! its so bad

    my skimmer is dripping water everywhere the guy who sold it to me didnt even have the O ring in it and I am not sure where the water is dripping from. The cup has not collected anything since I've gotten it. and when it does collect water the cup get really full and there is nothing wrong with the water it collects its perfectly clean. anyway i dont know the name of it right now there is no brand name on it and i think the person who sold it to me give me everything its just a POS and I am getting really nervous because my sump to get filtered also or whats the use!? lol

    Where are you located? There maybe one of our members close by that could take a look at it for you, and see if it is able to be fixed or adjusted better until you can find a new one?
    Can you post a pic, we may be able to help. If we can figure out the brand you may be able to get replacement parts for it.

    awesome thanks guys I am going to see if i can get this working a little bit tonite since i've been messing with it but if its not working I may have to contact someone to help me out with it till i can get a new one!! lol

    I am just really paranoid about this stupid skimmer and i cant even figure it out so! if all else fails i guess someone is gna have to come check out a pretty sweet 125 gal aquarium hahaha still beginner of course! lol

    Natasha - I probably would not me much help in figuring out what's wrong with your existing skimmer - but I might be able to help you out until you resolve something.  I recently upgraded skimmers and still have my old skimmer sitting around.  Its a Aqua C Urchin Pro.  Its rated to 120 gallon - so probably might not be enough for your tank.  You could use it in the short term if you wanted.

    Jeanette! Thank you so much but I am looking to buy that skimmer the person above you has posted! You are very sweet and Thank you so much for the offer I am hoping to get a new one pretty soon and sorry it took so long for me to reply i was at work all day and I just got to sit down just now and its 11 pm!! How are those zoo's coming along any frags for me yet!? lol I will be happy to let you know that big i think Colt cauliflower leather is doing awesome! lol my devils had wasnt accustoming to well. his little yellow dusters werent coming out and i dont know why? only like 2-3 of them have came out but he still looks okay. anyways Thank you again Jeanette! you are very sweet!

    Brad when ever I adjust the knob even just the slightest either which way it will be way to much and it will collect all the clean water or the other way it will collect nothing. Like i said i should have beem smarter in this purchase i emailed the guy saying what was wrong he doesnt have the "pin wheel??" i think its called and said he was running it venturi I dont even know what that is but thats what he said after the fact i bought it idk if thats necessary for a skimmer but yes thats some more information about my skimmer...
