I am in the next couple months setting up a 144 gallon tank. I am wishing to only use ro/di water, but my ro unit would take months and months of non stop running to fill this tank. What I am looking for is some one that would let me either pay them to borrow there unit or if there is someone in the bussines of selling ro/di water at this amount needed. Truth be told I dont have the cash to sink into a larger unit at this time, even more so since this tank will be fish only and the unit I have now will work fine for top offs. Thanks for any help /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

How slow is your RO system? Even if it is 25 gallons per day that is only like a week of filling up. If you have a truck or large suv you can get some containers and buy the water from someone or seascapes.

Not really quite sure of the gallons per day, never have run that test, and the unit was bought second hand. Did not even think about seascapes.

Seascapes does not sell their RODI water, they use too much on a daily basis to keep up with anything beyond their demand. I personally would just fill up 5g buckets from the new Wal-Mart in Grimes, I started using their water and tested with TDS with a Hanna meter and it read 2 ppm. All others Wal-Marts I've used read over 10. I've got over 20 buckets if you want help transporting. You might have to split it up into a couple days, since most Wal-Marts have an 80 gallon holding tank. But I've pulled 100g in a day and didn't dry them out.
