Help!! Looking for the Aptasia eating Nudibranchs

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by DSPENCE, Dec 6, 2016.

  1. Have been battling these stinking things for too long and seems that there's always one that remains and manages to multiple before I find it. Wanting to know if anyone has any of these to loan or if there are others wanting to get some and rotate them. Hate to have them die once they've done their job, so if they could be the traveling nudibranchs, that'd be great.

Forget them... get the long nose butterfly forever taken care of.

I prefer the blow torch, but you have to keep on them or they will keep popping up.

  4. I put a long nose butterfly in one of the tanks that I maintain and was fortunate to get one that eats them....had one in there that didn't. They still live in the overflows and plumbing, so need to get those cleaned out. The tanks that I need to get rid of them in now, are too small for a Butterfly.

I have coral on the rocks, too, so have to be careful about how I try to get rid of them.....try to stay on them with injecting boiling water, but even one gets left and the bugger will reproduce before I can blink!

Tried peppermint shrimp? I had an infestation once that those peps took care of in a couple of weeks. Never had one since. Now if there was only something for vermetid snails that was that easy...
