Lye?

    Anyone know where I could buy NaOH in iowa city area? I want to recharge a bunch of DI resin... I think its used for meth based on a web search, so not easily available. Really makes meth sound extra attractive.../DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/blink.gif

    Ace hardware had it. It's used to unclog drains, if that is the right kind of lye.

    Try camping places if you can't find it in any major mega stores.

    I found it at a small lumber yard in NW Iowa when I was home for a weekend once. It's really hard to find in small quantities, but you can buy a 10 pound bag for cheap at farm supply stores!
