Does anyone know or could someone help me distinguish what genus and possible species of macro algae this photo is?

My first guess would be some gracilaria but I wouldn't know species. Does that sound correct? I'm wondering because I'm going to possibly attempt a no-flow self sustaining pico reef in a jar. I intend on working on a good balance of nessicary volume to equalize food to waste exchange with a 100ml test tube, a 500ml beaker and possibly a 1000ml beaker. Once I feel confident in what is needed I will attempt to try it in a mason jar and see if it can maintain stability for quarterly water changes.

I'm taking the PJ reefs that are currently kick starting as a template to make my own. Live sand (fairly thick), aquacultured live rock, macro algae, star polyp, zoas, and a mush or two. The tube will be a test for me to fully understand in detail a single zoa polyp specimen.

I realize how delicate these creatures are so I do not have intentions on putting the lives of these organizms in jeprody. If anyone has a book or some sort of hardcover reference that they believe will benefit with understanding how to balance ecosystems accurately and precisely on a molecular level, (that might not be incredible dense reading) I would definitely pick it up.

I'm all ears guys, let me know what you think. Constructive criticism welcome, though I do have full intentions on actually attempting the experiment (at least on paper first.)

I'd like to have a small amount of flow in there so I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do there.

Would a bubbler oxygenate too much of the water? Would it be sufficient flow?
