I went to there web site and theres no email add or instructions or anything, talk about customer service lol. can anyone who has this test scan the instructions and send them to me it would be greatly appreciated. thanx slovan, I dont know why i have so much trouble with these tests, maybe my water is way out of wack. I end up useing all of the 1ml syringe and the color still doesnt change. I have the same problem with the alk test. Im pretty sure im following the directions exactly.

Check the expiration date on your kit and have someone else test your water.

That's what you get for trying to be unique! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif Where in the heck do you live? I thought the stereotype was the whole state was considered BFE?? Surely you live close to an LFS or you can ask someone in the 4 regions to test a sample for you.

lol I live in jefferson about 1hr from any lfs that carries marine products, I called earl may in carrol but they said they would have to special order the test kits and that it wasnt worth it for them beacause they have no call for saltwater products.

Jump on are BRS group order and they will send to you, and if you ever wanna order stuff.  I live in Ames which isn't super far, and then we go through there to get to Carroll where the girlfriends family lives.  Plus here soon i'll be going through every other weekend.

I just got around to testing your water sample you gave me yesterday mag is 1400ppm while I was at it I decided to test your other parameters so here are my results and you have a few issues to deal with.
    Mag 1400
    Ca 500 ppm
    Alk 12 dkh
    No3 15 ppm
    Po4 1.0 ppm
and your salinity is high 1.030
I would start my bringing your salinity down to 1.025 to 1.026 this should bring your alk and ca down to a more aceptable level. They are on the high side in my opinion. Do you have a fuge? I would bet not with your no3 and po4 at those levels. I would get one hooked up.

Thanks, i do have a fuge, although it is fairly new, maybe 2 months old. that is a pretty high salinity, my refractometor that i just got is reading 1.025 exactly, I calibrated it with ro/di water, maybe i got a bad deal on it to
