I got 5 SOL Blues on my tank. Demo it all you want.. Lighting storms, Cloudy days... endless..
Bobo will be attending with me as well, if I decide to come. I have mid terms all this week. This weekend is when I can finally relax and enjoy life... So who knows what my outcome will be... I might be MIA /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Jackie made up 1000 ml of 35 ppt salt solution to calibrate my reefractometer. This is 5 lifetimes worth... If anyone wants to bring a small container i'd be happy to give you some.

Why not calibrate with pure ro/di?

    Not as accurate.
Its always best to calibrate equipment with solutions that are close to the point you will be measuring.

I apologize if its not ok to post links to other forums, but heres the info re refractometers from randy holmes farley:

    http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-12/rhf/index.php

It should be calibrated with ro if thats what instructions say. Its nice to have a standard to have confidence in ur reading.

Calibrating with 35ppt is just plain stupid. Glad you posted this, ro/di is way more accurate IMO, and it was just clarified. Thanks for some GOOD info
