We are looking at trying to schedule the meeting the 19th or 20th of March.  We will be running out of food at that time and figure it would be the perfect time to try and coordinate a meeting.
I know its a little short notice and that it is the weekend before spring fest but am concerned if we don't do it now it will probably be around the first part of May before we could get together with Easter and life in general happening.
So this meeting will be a little different, we need a pretty close head count, how much food everyone thinks they will want and may be a little longer than prior meetings.
We will buy the food the day or so before and make sure we have enough ziploc containers to use but would like everyones help getting it prepped.  The cost will be figured by either container weight or just the number of containers you bring home as they are all the same size.
So having said all of that,  lets get the date nailed down first.   Does the proposed weekend work for everyone?  What day and time would work best?
Forgot, meeting will be held in Eldridge at our place.  If I missed something else someone please chime in.

it will be fish food, much like rods food I would assume. feed your fish well and their poop will feed your coral.

Would Saturday or Sunday work best for everyone?  If we do it Saturday we could have it a little later in the day.  I'm sure I will be at work until at least noon on Saturday.  If we do Sunday, we may want to have it earlier just to leave ourselves plenty of time.

Sunday would work better for us. Saturday the 19th we will be in Dubuque for a Jeep club meeting and since I'm the president of the club I have to attend.

I am usually off Saturday, but work till 5 or 6 on Sunday. I would like to stop by and attend.

Is the food that is going to be made, more for feeding fish or is it feed-able to different corals also?

    Thanks

The food that is being made will feed anything in your tank.  The difference will be how fine it is blended.  The main components will be shrimp, scallops, oysters, clam, cod and then different types of fish.  We will also add selcon, algae, garlic and gelatin.  If there is something someone would like to see added please post your ideas and requests.
As of now it looks as if Sunday will be the day.  What time works best for everyone?  I was thinking somewhere around 4 so we can start prepping.  It normally takes a couple of hours to prep but it will depending on the number who attend.  I really have no way of knowing how long.  So if we would start around 4 or so even those you have to work or may have commitments earlier in the day should still be able to attend some portion of it.  What does everyone else think?

Based on our experience the cost should be around $3.50 to $4.00 per container. The container will be a ziploc container that is 1 cup or 8 ounces in size. For most, 1 container would last quite some time. Just to give an example, for those of you who saw Doug feed back in November, a container lasts us 2-3 days. We feed around 50 fish per day (most are larger fish) so that should give everyone a pretty good idea of the amount of food in one container. Hope this answer a few of the questions that may arise.

Any more word on this? Exact date and time?

I won't be able to make it to Springfest the week after because of other obligations, but would like to attend this.
