Has anybody ever purchased from or know anything about www.marcorocks.com ? Prices look pretty good, but the website looks a little iffy ... Bad Idea? or Good company with poor web design?

Good company with good rock. I have ordered from them several times and am very happy with what I have received.

Good company with great product. My last order was 160 lbs of sand. Had a problem when one of the boxes was lost in shipping, called and a new 40 lb. box was on the way. Needless to say the other box showed up 2 weeks later. No complaints.

Just an FYI: I follow a thread over on reefcentral from a guy who build a 180 using all marco rock. He's had massive coral death over the last year and nuisance algae trouble. He's narrowed the problem down to using all Marco rock and no other live rock.

Just reporting. Can't speak to anything other than what I've read from this guy.

Thanks for the info guys.. I'm about to pull the trigger on my first saltwater tank and I'm trying to put as many pieces together as possible first... I'm looking at buying some dry rock from them and maybe sand...

Is there any place in the cedar rapids area that sells in larger quantities like that?

AC&C in washburn carries it. Not sure how much they have on hand. Ask x-roads, he owns the store.

I have used marco rocks and their emacco stuff for building structures and have not had any issues.
