Mason City Area

    So i live in the mason city area and was wondering if anyone is from around this area? I know of a couple people and places but thats all there seems to be. is there anyone at all?

    the thing is i dont have a license so my buddy an i have been driving out of town to get stuff. We have been around the cedar rapids area spent a whole day driving around to pet stores and picking up supplies a week or so ago. just spent sunday in the ames area doing the same. im new to saltwater or fish tanks in general. I went big cause i heard they are easier to take care of. not sure if this is true. But my ears are always open love learning new things and this will be an adventure for me.

    Bigger is better in most cases with reefs except for the part about having to have a larger wallet! My Step father co-owns the sports card/collectable store in the MC mall.

    yes i dont have a big wallet but its coming together slowly still looking for a skimmer so if anyone has one tell me a reasonable price and i might take it.

    hey Czieman Im  in Mason City too, Im located on the south end of town.  Im pretty new to this whole thing so im right there with ya. I have had my 45 gallon up for around six months and after readin about it im doing a total overhaul of the whole system.  I just finished building and plumbing a 20 gallon sump into the system, and am waiting on a gfo reactor and ro/di unit per AJ's suggestion to finish up the project. Next on the list is a new lighting systen. Its good to hear that somebody else is in the mason area!

    wow marty that finally have three mason people, i am on the north end, i got a 75 with a 40 sump, some sps and a couple anenomes. i am the buddy thats been driving cziemann around, u ever need help or wanna check out the tanks get ahould of one of us

    yeah for sure! I really dont know anybody who's really into this saltwater thing but if you want to try to get a group up and running im deffinatly in.   where are you on the north end? I might actuallyknow where you are cause im a letter carrier for the post office and have more than likley delivered your mail at some point lol

    polk right before 12th and yes that would be the buddy lol but def if you want to check the tank out feel free to contact me. i dont have much in mine yet its a work in progress.

    we need to work on getting a group started .
