Maxspect LED

    I have been pondering these LEDs for a little while now.  I really do like they look but I do not know much or hear much about them
    Anyone have some experience with them? How many you think I would need to go over a standard 90gal tank? Are they dimmable?

    i dont like the colors that are setup when you get the unit but you can upgrade almost anything on them, they also come with 40, 70, and 100 degrees lenses, and they have built in controllers so thats nice but even with the 100 degree in the spread is not that great but you might be able to get away with two of them for a 90 if 4 feet long, the issue i have with the color is that they are to yellow if at 100% but you can change that aswell if you make it to des moines area we can show you what it looks like or maybe send you some pics

    Curious here. The price is comparable to others, so I assume it's not the cost driving you this direction, so what is?

    Some pics would be great I would really like to see how these look over a tank lit up.
    Bela I like the modular look of them mostly. and the fact they swivel is kind of appealing too me. I also like how they mount on your tank compared to other modules.
    I should add I am doing lots of research on LED before my purchase.  Unfortunately the ones i want are out of reach for me, the radions.  My wife does not care for the idea of me hanging lights from the ceiling and the AI lights have a terrible mounting kit IMO.

    Jake from reefbuilders highly recommends them....

    I talked to him for quite a while at Fall fest. If I dont go with the vertex lights I am going with the Maxpect.

    Just an FYI Bill they are on at least a 1 month long back order and the mounting kit is even longer then that. I only know because i was talking to the guy from sallty supply today.
