I last saw my Midas Blenny last Wednesday. I could not imagine what happened to him, very healthy and my tank is in great condition. Checked overflows, outside of tank etc.....Really missed the little guy as he's always front & center & loves riding the wave from the Koralia's.
I get home last night and see that the rock my slimer is on has tilted a little bit and one (of many) of my anemones is touching it so I try to move it back away from it and see that the anemone is also attached to that rock. So of course it shrinks back right away and Im able to move the rock slightly.
Go about my way and later sit down & I have a clear view of my tank (120g), look over and THERE HE IS!!!!!!! Riding the wave like nothing ever happened!!!! He must have ducked into a new hidey hole and I think the anemone covered him up. I don't know what else it could be! He sure was hungry but looks no worse for the wear!!! soooo happy!!!/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/tongue2.gif

You might want to check inside your Koralia's.  I just added an algae blenny to my tank this week.  A little more than 24 hours later, the crazy damn fish dived head first INSIDE the Koralia!  What would possess it to do that, I don't know.  I took the front cover off and what did it do?  Swam right out onto my mini-maxi carpet anemone and stuck fast.  Talk about "from the frying pan into the fire"!  I got it off the carpet and it swam over to a rock to rest.  Haven't seen it since, so I presume it is dead.  I really liked that fish, reminds me of a Muppet.

Sure hope it's okay.  Let us know!  When I had a Kor in my tank, my hawkfish always hid in it.  I would "always" check it before turning it on (was used as a supplemental PH)!  I use foam covers on PH's all the time now.  Doesn't help if they go inside but the foam covers give me peace of mind/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif
