So been out of town for a few days and come home to see no clam in my tank. As some of you may know I have a 12 gallon aquapod so not to far it can go. I have looked everywhere and no signs of it. My only suspicion is my brain ate it. Does this even sound plausible? Last time I saw him he was right by the brain so this is my only thought to his disappearance.

It would be possible for the brain to sting the fleshy part(mantle) and have it die, but there would still be a shell. The only way they move is from jet propulsion, by contracting the muscle to shoot out water from the siphon, so it might be behind rockwork if it decided to move. Their foot is only for anchoring, they don't walk at all.

Can you see anything behind the rockwork to look for it? You could try shutting off the water movement in the tank to keep the surface calm to look straight down, or make a view box to look through with the pumps still on...

yup there should still be a shell. Unless someone else in your house got hugry, there should still be evidence somewhere in the tank.
