Got a Typhoon III from AWI a couple of weeks ago.  It works great but that sucker is big and heavy (no I didn't read the size specs before I bought it).  Drywall won't hold so I was going to attach it to the studs but the spacing doesn't match.  Looking for tips and tricks to mount the thing so I won't worry about it crashing down.

An option if looks arent a huge deal would be to screw the unit to some scrap wood and then to the studs ( or the other way around [IMG])

Screw it to a 2x4 that is cut wide enough to mount to a few studs, should be fine I would think.
