As some of you may know, I moved away from Iowa in December. We bought a new house in Gainesville, FL, with no basement and wood floors throughout the house. Needless to say, I was told I couldn't have a tank at home because I have a habit of spilling water everywhere... Luckily there was a perfect spot for a 75G tank on a lab bench at my new job...

Right side showing my first sump chamber the has the overflow box (Had to rework the silencers and add an extra 1.5" overflow tube so it could handle my Mag12), and the ASM G3 skimmer. You can also see the first of my two top off containers (I'll explain why I have two below)

Left side with the second sump chamber containing the mag12 return pump, deep sand bed tray, Caulerpa/Chaeto, ATO sensor, and the second top off container.

The reason why I have two top off containers is I want to try to do a dilute Balling method where one bucket contains the calcium chloride and the other the soda ash. This way, when the ATO sensor is triggered it fires up the maxi-jet 400's in the buckets to add top off water. The lines from both jugs are an identical length, so differences in the top off of each should be minimized. Of course this method won't be as accurate as the true balling method of using an $800 dosing pump, but it should be good enough to only have to make minor CA/Alk adjustments every month. The magnesium will be added once a week as a supplement.
Now the wait begins. Hopefully I can have some fish in my QT tank in 5 weeks, and throw them into the display in 9 weeks.
I have a Phosban 150 waiting in a box for the day fish and coral go in to the tank. Its lit by a Nova Extreme Pro. The return pump is a Mag12. There's sand for color in the display and a 4 inch DSB tray in the sump. Circulation is by 2 Koraila 4's and since the mag12 is only a foot from the tank, it's blowing pretty hard too
Reefing is a very bad addiction...

@strong, seriously, I only got a couple of hours of tank time back in Iowa. Now I can swivel my chair around and see it 8hrs a day /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/hybrid//emoticons/wink.gif Although, that also means its in my face begging for tinkering attention...
