I was just browsing movies on the internet thinking of what I wanted to watch and really clueless what is worth renting.  I have netflix, use Redbox a lot and have lots of DVD's and Blu Rays...yet I still have a hard time picking out movies.  Some that I have been looking at new release wise are Robin Hood, new Nightmare on Elm Street(loved all the old ones), and Leaves of Grass.  I prefer actions and comedies but will give anything a watch.
So what is everyone watching or wanting to see.  Please put up personal reviews and thoughts on things you have seen lately.  Keep in mind I am no professional critic and I enjoy movies so I do not hold really high standards.
    My recent list:
Karate Kid(new):  I enjoyed the movie and have always been a big Jackie Chan fan so it was a must see for me.  I never got in to the originals but I have heard many people say the new one stands up to the standards of the original.
McGruber:  Had some funny parts but a lot of it seemed to be extremely stupid humor.  Maybe it caught me on the wrong night but I found myself not really laughing when I was supposed to be.
Iron Man 2:  Good continuation from the first but something seemed a little off to me.  Do not get me wrong I really enjoyed the movie but I think the first one was better but not by much.
Prince of Persia:  It seems a lot of movies made after games end up kind of flopping in my opinion but this movie was really good for me.  It had the action and a few laughs which is always a good movie to me.
Date Night:  Funny movie but not Steve Carrells best IMO.  If you are a fan though you still need to see it because he has his moments still.
Killers:  Have to give the Iowa boy Ashton a watch no matter what movie it is.  Katherine Heigl seems to be a pretty hot commodity in a lot of movies lately also and she did what she does best in this movie.  Good comedy with a serious side at the same time.  Definitely worth a watch.
Clash of the Titans:  Good action movie based off the Greek myth of Perseus.  Probably not as accurate as the true story which might throw some people off and not enjoy the movie.  I try to look past accuracy of a movie and take it as its own this way I don't end up judging this and that.
Losers:  I went in thinking this movie could end up being pretty dumb based on what I heard from different people.  It was no where near as bad as what I thought.  It had a serious side I was not expecting but it exposes itself early on in the movie.
Kick-***:  Did not know what to think of this movie.  Let's just say "interesting"  It is probably not a movie for kids though.
Book of Eli:  This is a movie you have to watch twice and maybe 3 times.  You find out a very interesting twist at the end which then makes you want to watch it again so you will notice things.
Well I could keep going but I will stop there for now and see what other people have to chime in with.  And please don't judge my personal opinions as they are what they are.

Watching Splice ATM it's not really that great but has an interesting concept of what could happen when messing around with human DNA.

I watched the new Nightmare on Elm St. last weekend and thought it was horrible. Freddy's face isn't really scary enough and he sounds like the new batman. It did have a few spots where i nearly pee'd myself but other than that...not so great.

Started watching McGrubber last week as well but decided about a half hour into it, I might not ever be high enough to get all the way through it.

It's a terrible thing that MGM has done with the franchise, at least in its foreseeable future. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif

I think you misinterpret my meaning. With MGM trying to sell their company they have stopped all production of the bond series. Daniel Craig (best bond to date since Sean Connery IMO) was signed on for another two movies but his contract was canceled. People are saying it may be another ten years before we see another Bond flick /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/sad.gif

Just saw Alice. Well done imagery by Tim Burton but weak on plot and dialogue. This actually a sequel to Alice and not a remake so most of the characters and content from the first movie are in this one. Sequels usually aren't as good as the original and this film is no exception.. 2 stars

Skyline. This is one that shows that a million dollars in pentiums and the weirdest guys in Hollywood thinking up the coolest monster they can think of is utterly wasted without good acting and a good script. Or at least an average script.

*Spoiler Alert* (in case you fail to heed my warning /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif scroll down.

So these aliens show up and start taking people via giant space-hoover technology. Pretty much the whole movie is this handful of people hiding out in a top floor penthouse trying to decide if they should make a break for it. When they do this huge monster stomps on the Porsche ( as seen in the previews ) and a gizmo/alien similar to the sentinels in Matrix chases everyone until a couple rams it with their mini-van, only it ain't dead and it grabs the guy and yanks his brain out and slaps it into a convenient compartment in its head area. And this is what they're here for, to take our brains, although there is no mention of why they need our brains at any point. It's just a gruesome thing for the sake of gruesomeness. After a bit the military shows up and manages to fire a nuke into one of the big ships, only it repairs itself and the occupants are unharmed, which really bugs the left side of my brain, cause it was a nuke and I'm sorry, but if the lead guy can chop off one of the sentinel thing's arms with a fire ax, then I'm pretty sure they ain't going to hold up to a direct hit from an a-bomb. So nothing works and humanity appears to be doomed and no one can explain how an alien species from across the galaxy is even compatible with a human brain or why they even evolved into a species that apparently has mastered interstellar travel but has to swap out its brain every two weeks or whatever and if I told you how it ends you'd say HUH!!?? What the hell was that? and be unable to operate power equipment safely for at least a day.

I know this might be tough with all of the regions, but maybe we should plan some group movie nights.
