Who wants to help me move?? Any helping hands would be great. We will start moving our junk after noon on the 28th. Then depending on how much stuff we were able to move, I will be moving the two tanks either the 29th or 30th. I'll do the 65g saltwater tank first and then the 90g freshwater tank. Moving the freshwater isn't going to be nearly as terrible as the 65g; not nearly as many components. The current place I live at is on the second floor but the place we are moving into is on the ground floor. We are currently in Coralville by applebees and will be moving to Saddlebrook apartments on the SE side of Iowa City. It's about a 20 minute drive in heavy traffic to the new place from old. Moving in will be really easy and level as the door to our apartment goes directly outside without any stairs except for the curb while moving out will be a little tougher with the stairs. Just so you know what you're volunteering for /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif
If anyone wants to help move basic stuff, thats great! You could help on the 28th or any other day with the rest of my family/friends as they work on moving everything. I'll be helping them except when I'm distracted with moving fish.
If you'd rather not haul boxes, I'd really like help with moving the reef tank. Like I said, 65g display with 29g sump underneath, stand, canopy, all my random equipment, fish, coral, rock, and lots of water. If anyone has extra buckets laying around that you know are reef safe, I'd love to borrow them for a day or two. And any extra heaters you have so I can keep everyone warm while tearing down and setting up the tank. I currently have four buckets for critters and one heater. I'm hoping to have 5 buckets to divide my fish into and either a couple more buckets for corals or some form of cooler. I know my parents may be able to provide a cooler. An extra 4-5 heaters would be nice then for rotating between all the buckets to keep the fish warm. Then for transporting water, I have 3-5gallon and 3-3gallon jugs but will need more than that. Probably closer to being able to transport 50gallons of water to be safe. Storage tubs may come in handy also for transporting wet equipment like the skimmer and such so it's not dripping all over anyone's vehicle.
And if anyone has an extra plastic cooler that is 2 feet long, that would be a great thing to carry my plecostomi (2) in from the freshwater tank.
As always, I will provide food goodies for anyone who wants to help. Just let me know what you'd like me to make /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

I may be able to help with the tanks if my wife has that weekend off. I will have to ask her tomorow. I have a few RC buckets I can bring.

If I've moved from the 90 to the 180 by then, I'll have at least 1 heater. I've got several buckets and some styrofoam fish boxes you can borrow.

I'll see how many I can break out for you and whatever else that might be helpful. I'll get them to you before you need them; I won't be around that weekend most likely.
