I just bought a new 60g cube and I painted the back wall with some black latex paint..  Then I just got 2 more mp10s in yesterday and when I goto set them up on the back wall the magnets arent strong enough to hold them there, they just keep falling... I then took off the spacers and they still would stick.. When I use them on the side glass with no paint they stick just fine, even with the spacers in place... Anyone ever have this problem?
    Thanks

Yup, had the exact same problem with latex. Had to hold them in place until they started otherwise they would just fall off.

    Resolution: Tunze 6095's

I've got 2 mp40's and a mp60 on 3/4" thick glass that has black acrylic based paint and have no issues with them. If the thickness is within range that's odd that the paint would affect them like that.

Could you remove the paint in a circle around the mp10?

I had a mp40 on there with no problems, but to much flow for my tank... The thickness of my glass is 1/4" witch is within the limit of the mp10s...

I was thinking about removing the paint in a circle around them, but I dont have alot of room behind the tank and it will look weird if its not a perfect fit...

    Thanks
