    hello,
i have a 210 gal tank and i want to have a pretty good wave not real crazy or anything but just so can see it in the corals and fish just wondering if a mp60 would be to much or would 1 mp40 be ok?
    Thanks

I think mp60 are better suited for 8"+ tanks, for the most part. If you have the means, I'd do 2 MP40's on a 210, and maybe some mp10's along the back (costly, I know). I think the 60 will just be too much on the ones side of the tank and not enough on the other.

Do you have sand? If so i would go with 2 mp40, even then you need to keep them pretty high up so you dont make a sand storm. I run a mp60 in my 210 and it works great but i also have bare bottom so its not a issue.

That'd work. Going to throw them on a timer or on all the time?

I had 2 mp40's on my 180 and 2#3 korilias on the back. Worked great.

I have a MP60 and 2 MP40's on my 135g. Started with the 40's but the flow wasn't good on a 6" tank imo. I added the 60 and like it much better! The flow from the 60 will reach the opposite end /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif Don't need the 40's now but I run them anyway. No problem with a sandstorm either...........

I have two 220's in my basement. The sps system had 5 mp40's to get decent flow.

One you wont even know the difference.

You'll definitely need more than 1 MP40... I had a mix of Koralias and Vortechs at one point but got tired of seeing all the ugly wires. I now run 4 MP40s on my 6 foot 180. Unfortunately I have to turn them down quite a bit or I get a sand storm.. stupid oolite. I'd imagine you'd get a nasty storm with an MP60 depending on your substrate.
