Multiple gun threads? Really?

Wow. Now that is someone who is "passionate" about their UV Steralizer.

 

GIRS is only as good as the people that are in it so I think if you want GIRS to be successful and be the kind of club you want to be a part of you should stick around and help make it that way. We should all think before we post and post with respect towards others.

 

Jason there are always going to be idiots out there that get into the club. We do our best, and the BOD knows who the antagonists are and we are keeping a handle on it. The HUGE majority of people here are totally good folks.

 

Can somebody please close this thread?! Dead fish, everyone is trying to be respectful and nice to you, but you are being completely unreasonable and ignoring all posts, making that very difficult. Your stats are completely *** backwards. What is the population of Canada? What is the population of the US? I could also be disrespectful to everyone on here as well and post hundreds of one-sided "stats" to back my opinion as well, but again, THIS IS A FISH FORUM. If you don't like the site, leave....if you don't like the US, move to Afghanistan....since they have it soooo figured out!

The other thread started out just chatting about what guns people had. Just a friendly question and discussion among *internet* friends. One person took it too far by showing poor sarcastic taste. Yes it was bad, but the thread’s intention wasn't.

This thread is deliberately inflammatory. The 1st post contained bloody glasses and a lecture. Great. Can we please have a graphic abortion thread telling us that we are going to hell? How about drug use? Maybe a photo of a bloody syringe to drive the message home.

There is a difference between a thread that loses track but is based off friendly discussion and one that starts off telling us what is right and wrong.

 

I agree with not insulting people, which is why I didn't...along with not making any threats, which is why I didn't. I just pointed out that his stats are completely wrong and convoluted. If the BOD does not want to block this thread, then is there a way I can personally block it so it doesn't flood the main page with posts... and I can use this site for its intended purpose instead of being subjected to uninformed opinions about completely unreleated topics.

You obviously have a personal relationship with deadfish/Jason, so I know I will not win this arguement...also since you are calling me obtuse when I express my opinion, yet letting him ramble on without any objection...but I find your above comment offensive, just for the record.

Deadfish, it takes a strong person to apologize, I hope I speak for everyone in saying no harm, no foul, and I think we can all move on. Sounds like you just needed to vent some, and we are all entitled to our opinions...I too am sorry if I offended anybody, I just found the nature of the thread antagonistic and mis-represented, so I had to jump in with my two-cents.

My fishies are doing well. I think that my firefish just put an ADT sign outside of its favorite hiding spot as a deterrent to the clownfish. My tank has been gun free since the start. Let's fix this by making the topic of guns relevant to reefkeeping. Right now I am working on plans to incorporate several colt 1911 pistols into my rockwork. To continue with the theme, I am going to be looking for several frags of colt coral to attach to the colt pistols. I will also have a freestanding structure made of colt corals in the shape of a Colt 1911. When you pull the triggerfish the Colt coral Colt 1911 will release pellet food. Once I am finished with the design in my CAD program I will upload the specs. Thanks for your interest in the Colt 1911 Colt Coral Company.

Oh and Nick, my last firefish (god rest his soul) decided his home was the overflow box. Found him in there one day, was almost a catastrophe getting him out....next day, he already moved back in. Did that about 3 times before I said fine, stay in there. I almost put up an address plaque on the box for him!

 

I still think Jimmy Johnson is the best driver to hit Nascar and will win another title this season.
