I have this piece of rock with a couple little kenya trees growing on it along with  2 mushrooms, green with white stripes, 1 on each side of the rock.
id like to remove the shrooms but it seems very improbably without destroying them.  reefer stopped by yesterday and said i can almost stick em in a blender and they will grow back.
well i dont think i want to do exactly that but can i litterly tear them off and have them grow back?

From my experience, yes. I've had mushrooms and xenia get ripped off and leave a tiny not even millimeter thick layer of tissue that would then grow into a new xenia or mushroom. They are very hardy corals

I had a small rock with some unwanted mushrooms.  What worked quite well for me was after removing the mushrooms, I then scrubbed the area very well with a toothbrush.  That seemed to get any remaining bits.  Since I was able to remove the rock from the tank, it wasn't too difficult.

Well then, you are actually in luck as mushrooms are very hardy.  Supposedly you can cut a mushroom in half, or pieces and have them regrow in to mushrooms.  I've not tried it, but I'm sure others in the club have .   Anyone ??????  If you don't want to cut the mushroom in have, then use a sharp instrument (knife or scapel) to remove the mushroom (from its base) as best you can.  Then try scrub with a toothbrush to get any remaining bits left behind if you don't want it to regrow there.

Can you just chisel them off with a screwdrive or something similar. What you would be doing is just removing a portion of the rock with the mushroom attached. You won't hurt anything.
