here it is in place next to the 250  i forgot to mention that the cube is made out of only 3 pieces of glass the front and sides are one piece of starfire glass  the back and bottom 2 pieces are just regular plate glass

i am going to run the plumbing for the NPS tank tomarrow  i will have kind of a suprise for everyone on how i'm doing it so you will just have to check back tomarrow night
also the wood counter top on the stand is going to be covered with tile or marble i havent decided yet and i still have to skin the stand and build the canopy for the 250 yet  along with a hundered other stuff left to be done

its for NPS tanks that have to be feed 20-30 times a day basically the return line runs through the fridge where the liquid food is stored and the doser doses food through out the day automatically the fridge is just to keep the food from spoiling and a magnetic stirrer is to keep the food in suspension in the container until its dosed into the tank

Nice progress on the tanks! I like your light bar, definitely a nice alternative to what AI offers. An AI over an NPS tank? Isn't that overkill? /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/biggrin.gif

Holy shiznit. Is there an award for fish room of the month? Or year? This is friggin amazing. Glad to see that sump we did will finally get put to use!!

Matt shouldn't you have put that 250 glass cages tank on foam?

Sone. I bought the AI cheap and I wanted something that looked nice so I decided to use an AI. I will turn it way down

Bud I only have 14" of Clarence after the canopy and drop ceiling is installed so I didn't want the extra height of the foam. I made sure that the plywood was clean, smooth, and level. plus the bottom is 1" thick plate glass so I am positive it will be fine

I made it out of scraps at work and I used the last we had so I can't make anymore unless you buy the stainless yourself I then can weld it up but unfortunately it only comes in 20' sticks and that will cost you around $300 plus the clamps will run you another $40-50 and the elbow another $40 sorry.

Would you be able to fabricate one out of steel? I would be able to seal and paint it.

Looks great . i have some questions with the doser in the fridge won't it get condensation on the unit? Also won't the ice box being so close to it cause the lines to freeze? Just asking

I plan on putting a piece of acrylic over the top of it to protect it from water dripping on it. The fridge will not be cold enough for the lines to freeze. this same setup has been used by lots of NPS keepers with perfect succes there is a sticky on it in the NPS forum on RC

    MAJOR DISASTER TODAY!!!!!!!
I started filling the plywood with water and it started to leak just a pin hole size leak but after I drained the tank and inspected it it looks like we must have cracked the fiberglass while moving it in. the problem is the crack goes from the bottom up the front behind the glass and leaks out in front of the glass. basically i would have to remove the front glass and fiberglass the bottom and front which is more work then I'm willing to do at this point and it may also be cracked in other places. so I'm calling it a lost cause and looking into replacing it with a glass tank from either mainland, miracles, or glass cages waiting on some estimates now. Anyways I'm pretty bumed especially since I had my rock wall looking so good and now I have to tear it out.

Wow! Really sorry about this. I just looked over all of the pics, and you have done such a beautiful job on this. I was rooting for you. Hoping for a good result with the new tank.
