Nothing new really put gfo. Phosphates started to creap up on me and have new fish qt. Found out that my hanna alk test reagent was expired and didn't realized so I'm testing asks adding alkalinity everyday than my reagent ran out so i opened a new bottle boy i got a big surprise on my frist test with a new bottle alk was at 17 so i shut off my calcium reactor and it has taking seval days for it to come down. Than my calcium level was low at 290 brought that back up to the mid 400s.
Trying to find a good diy reactor for ozone so if anyone has to share i would be great full.

I finally put ozone on my tank. Wow is all i can say water is so much clearer its like having fresh carbon all the time ive had it on my tank for 5 days now. I don't have anything to read my orp at the moment i just have it on the lowest setting and run it 24/7 threw a diy ozone reactor i made works really well.
You would think i would be able to read my orp with the 2 controllers i have on the tank the one wont read have to much interference from the titanium heaters and the other wont even calibrate.[IMG]

You want more small fish, or large ones? A group of anthias is always cool, but i've never been successful keeping them long term because of their feeding needs. My midas blenny is always out and about and a neat active fish. bristletooth tangs or kole tangs are cool and stay a little smaller than most other tangs. genicanthus angels are supposed to be some of the most reef safe group of angels and come in some cool colorations.

You seem to enjoy DIY projects and I think could manage to find the room for something like this
That would get you a real leg up on long term success with small fish. Anthias especially, but a lot of the smaller wrasses and other species do much better with very frequent feedings of the smaller foods they need. The other bonus is that your corals should benefit from the food as well.

You could try larger anthias like lyretail who may not need as many feedings. Our tank gets pellets 2x/ day from autofeeder and we feed club diy 1x/day.

So i added two blue jaw fish yesterday morning and they were doing great out and about seeing around eating right away with the new tank mates than today i find them both on the floor this afternoon. Man it just makes a guy depressed guess i will be putting a net on the top of the tank.

Triggers? Beautiful fish. Lost a blue jaw and pink tail trigger the same way and did have a cover except for a small feeding opening.
