In you battle with alage I had a super outcome with a "sea hare" I bought locally for like $20.00. It seriously wiped my tank out in 2 weeks time...

Starting to shape up nicely.  I really like your aquascape with all the little open spaces.
I would definately concentrate on getting the algea/bryopsis under control.  I think it can snuff out some of those nice corals pretty quickly and you sure don't want that.
Is the skimmer pulling out lots of stuff now that it's broke in?  What kind of light do you have on the sump?
I need to bring up my big net..LOL

Thanx for the complement, It's sorta hard to aquascape a 55g there is not very much room. I'm going to pick up some epsom salt here soon and try that option for getting rid of the bryopsis. It's definetly trying to snuff out my corals I have to manually remove it about every three days.
The skimmer works pretty good although i need a bigger one, I have about 70-75 gallons in my system and my skimmer is only rated for 55. The problem is i dont have room for a bigger skimmer.
My top refugium has a 13w pc and the bottom one has a normal flourecent tube. I have my eye out for some rubbermaid containers, as soon as i find some i'll take everything out and catch your cardinals for you.
