My Monday project, new fixture for my DIY LEDs

    So I was tired of lifting the hinged hood to feed PLUS it still wasn't vented to release heat so my water temps were a bit hard to get a handle on.
    Solution?  Hang my lights from the ceiling!!

    Still need to tidy up some trim work around the tank but thought I would share my Monday project!!

    Sweet look! I like the trim around the lights. It has a really clean modern look to it. Now you just need a mini shield to protect your eyes from the lights. lol

    Thanks Pete! That's exactly what I was going for with simple wood and aluminum. It actually looks even more like a central focus now from floor to ceiling.

    As far as a shield, the lights aren't near as intrusive as I thought at all. The optics are certainly doing their job!

    You must have the narrower optics. I have the 80° optics and if I sit a bit too low in the room, the shine right in your eyes. I have been thinking I might need to do something about it. But, I got to get the lights in my 130 put in first.
