part with 1 of my best friends. He got mad at me and turned my dogs into the local police, so i have to find him a home VERY VERY soon!
I have a nuetered male rottie between 1-1.5 yo named MAX in need of a GREAT forever home. He deserves it and i want to make sure he gets it. He is a very well behaved little man, gets along with the other dogs(kids and adults), HB, listens, can play by himself if needed, up to date on shots and a BIG lover. He likes to be outside when you are out but would rathr. He needs to be an indoor dog. PM me if you want pics.

So why do you have to get rid of him?....some kind of city ordinance or something stupid like that?

Sorry you have to let him go, hopefully you can get a good home found. I would seriously consider moving before giving up my dog.

When did Rotts become illegal? All you should need is to get added insurance to your home owners ins policy and that covers the laws. Check w a layer. Pitt bulls are the same in the dm city limits. Id be at my neighbors door and tell him if the dog goes you will put his pets in the microwave and video tape it and force him to watch it. ok that is a bit extreme but thats means for fist fighting. F that dude man that neighbor would be punished daily

The city says you can only have 3 dogs on your property at any given time, but when we moved here last year we explained that we fooster dogs for the Mississippi Valley German Shepard Rescue it was OK. For the last 6 months we've had 5 dogs at any given time and no one had a problem with it, but as soon as i mentioned putting up a fence to keep them my neighbor threw a fit and turned us in. The police came and had to enforce the law after it seemed to change. However we are going to try and approach the city councel and see what we can do.

As far as the neighbor goes... BECAREFUL where you stick your nose..lol

    That's too bad, Rich...
Rotts are the best dog's I've ever had and we had to give up a Rottie as the association we live in doesn't allow dogs over 60 pounds.
    You'll find someone!

go to the city council and stand up for the animals the lord has given us dominion on the earth to care for all the animals unless someone else on the city council wants to help out i think they should let you do your work

ok here is the deal. Get yourself a kennel license from the ia state ag dept. once approved you will be subject to their inspections 2 x a year but in your case that should not be in issue. I believe your license from them supercedes the cities. Applying for this now may help you give them a call tomorrow. Also if you belong to a kennel club contact them and see if they have any ideas. you probably can ask for an exception from the city council as well. Take any documentation and give them your adoption out rate.
you can contact me via pm for more information.
