So I had a Fluval Edge set up as FW for the past couple years. The stock lights went out and the thing just kind of sat there in the dark with the poor fish in perpetual night. Well, the other day I got the idea to switch it over to SW and set it up. I Got a Marineland LED strip with whites and blues and affixed it to the top of the tank right in front of the canopy. To make it look a little more seamless, I ran a strip of electrical tape along the front edge. That solved a light bleed problem as well.
So I'm still running the stock Fluval-branded Aqua Clear  with two pellets and two charcoals, no sponge. The other day I picked up a rock with some cool 'shrooms on it, some kind of red banded goby and a pistol shrimp. I ran Cycle in there to kick start the tank. I was afraid I'd lost the shrimp because, after not seeing them for a couple days, I moved the big rock and found the goby, but only shell remnants of the pistol. He was so small it was hard to tell if it was a molt or what was left of him. Well, it was a molt. Here are some pics of the bu[IMG]ild:

Those are cool shrooms! I love bullseye ones! Good luck on the build also, I am a fan of the fluval tanks.

Thanks! These are my first 'shrooms and I'm liking 'em. They had more of a bluish-purple hue in the store, but maybe it was the lights...
