This is a young fish about 2" long. What do you think it is?

Yes, I ordered a fish and this came and It does not look like others I have had like it, so I am curious as to what it is. It could be the fish I ordered but I thought I would see what everyone thought before I tell you what it is supposed to be.

Ok, that is what I think too after looking at some pictures. It was supposed to be a Pink Margin Fairy Wrasse and I have had them before and they looked nothing like this guy. Are Pylei supposed to be mean?

Ok, I looked on a couple of sites to see how much they are and some info but they did not have them listed. I was just starting to read about them. Looks like there are a few variants.

I think it is a Cirrhilabrus Pylei from Cebu. According to Lemon they can be holy terrors in the tank, it is a hit and miss kind of thing. So I will see how it goes. I would still like to get the Pink Margin Wrasse I ordered. I have a Ruby Head, a Lubbucks, a Flame and now the Pylei which is in an acclamation box. I also have a Starry Blenny and a Midas Blenny. Everyone has been getting along great, I am hoping the Pylei gets along. We will see.

I bought mine as adults that appears to be a juvenile. I had a pair they pretty much harassed all the other wrasses so I had to rehome. If I had the group I have now they may of been o.k.

I think the biggest problem is I had a pair so they ganged up on the other wrasses together. Craziest thing I ever seen! Yours being a Juvenile you might he fine.

I hope so...... I did have 2 Flames until the female died, before that they worked together as a pair picking on certain fish. They were so smart and mean together. The male is better behaved on his own.
