Hi All, not sure if this is the correct forum, but thought since it does have to do with Photos. Anyway, I have purchase a Nikon D60 DSLR with the purpose to take better pictures of my corals. But having LED's lighting present a difficult tasks, trying to capture the true colors. However, my pictures are coming out blue. Just wondering who here have figure out on how to setup the camera to take optimal pictures having LED's for lighting. I know it has to do with the white balance setting...still have not figure it out yet. Appreciate anyones input!

I have read that depth is the key. I have read that In the ocean only great clear light reaches more then 3 feet in depth and that's why many pictures come out blue in some reef shots. Because the blue light reaches great depth. I don't know what that depth is for sure. It depends on the water I think and other factors.  I think also depends on your lighting. Try taking pictures right up at top and see if what I have read proves out. Just a suggestion and not sure if it plays out like this in our aquariums. I find it very hard to take pictures with Actinic on where the best color is on our corals. I am getting better.
