I've recently found this brown/orange looking parasite on a rock under my overflow and am not sure what it is. Can someone help me identify it. It looks like it's encrusted on the the shaded side of a rock one end is open with a mouth or something that moves like a feather duster but not exactly. [IMG][IMG]

Those guys are really annoying and potentially damaging to your corals when they send out their net.

You can seal them up pretty nice/kill them if you have some Aiptasia-X or mix up a batch of pasty Kalk.

I used aphasia x worked like a charm. Just make sure you get it in the opening

I read you can cut the tube also to kill them. Has anybody tried that? I currently don't have any aphasia x.

Yea i heard just crushing the shell works to. Your rock is small enough to wack it with a hammer or something

I've also used the pointy end of a chopstick to crush/smash them.

I ended up pulling the rock out and scrapped them off of this rock. These are the only 2 in the tank. On the zoomed in image you can kind of see the mouth opening on the left side.
