Need help!! lots of zoas in jeopardy, Iowa City

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by nanotank10, Sep 2, 2013.

  1. SO here is my dilemma, i have a 3 gallon picotope with soft coral and 10 higher end zoas in it that have taken a turn for the worse, I fear that something may have gotten into the tank, febreeze maybe. It is not ack of lightingm because majority of the coral are getting anywhere from 200-400 PAR. So i changed the charcoal and it looked better for a day, but then it got even worse, now majority of all polyps are closed up, ricordia isn't doing very well either. I need someone who can come by my dorm in Iowa city, and drop my zoas in their tank/frag tank where they will come back to health. Free 2 polyp frag of sunny D's for anyone who can make this happen, very urgent! they are getting worse by the day. I have checked all water paramaters and they were fine, so the only thing I can think of is a pollutant.

Please get back to me ASAP the quicker the better!

    thanks alot,

    Brock

Got to agree with Mike, 100% water change.
I'm afraid your going to play hell getting someone taking your "sick" coral.
    Good Luck

  4. That's what I thought Ya, 100% water change will be my last ditch option later tonight if no one can help, thanks for the advise!

Were they doing well before? Did you just set up this tank or make a big move back to the dorms?

  6. the tank was setup and running smoothly since June and moved from des moines to IC on the 21st of august.
