Ok so I need 4 bags of the Florida Crushed coral By Caribsea! Pets play house person told me they had 3 bags of some kind of crushed coral, but it was like 25.99 and that is very cheap so I am not sure a run up there would be in order only to them be 25lbs bags. Could anyone check for me and let me know ASAP.

. My number is 3193315221 text me and let me know if you can help.

    Thanks

not sure if this will work for you but i used crushed oyster shells that they used for chicken food that you can get at the farm store for real cheap i have seen others try it on reef centeral and the tank i used it on is doing well, i had to really wash it well but kinda looks like crushed coral

if your making aragocrete... I would stay away from all crushed shell as your agregate in the mix, it will leach some phosphates down the road. not alot but some. I researched ALOT before i made my huge batches and that was one thing that always seemed to come up with the shell mixes. Crushed coral or a calcium based crushed rock is the way to go, ...if this is for making rock. I would also avoid using the big salt crystals to give it texture as the salt getting into the mix can make the end product physically weak. salt in a cement/concrete mix is no bueno. (salt contact is fine once cured properly, its going in sw after all). I used no salt and got very nice texture and pourosity (sp) just gotta tweak the ratios to get it how you like it. IF this isnt for making rock then disregard the aragocrete tips, last time i was in petsplayhouse they had no name brand aragonite sand for i belive less than 25ea and they were the big bags. I may be going there in the next few days and can look if you still need some recon.

I wish I saw this post earlier...I was just at Pets Playhouse tonight ! Sorry Kyle. I might go back later this week and will look then, if that's not too late.

However, I did buy my Aragonite from them several weeks ago and notice they had the Florida Crushed Coral...it's pretty big stuff. Are you looking for big substrate?
