need help

    need some help i bought a sally lightfoot ,was told it was reef safe a year ago but i have seen it pick at coral and it killed and ate my 6line need to kill him any advice

    Maybe you could find someone that wants it or give it to your LFS.

    I agree with Maureen, we should give away before we kill. If you post it for free someone is bound to jump on it.

    yes I know it is for flies you can use it for crabs. Stick some meaty food in the bottom, and make sure the entrance hole is just big enough for him to get in.

    Just use a shot glass (or any small glass) and lean it against the rock work and put a piece of krill in the bottom. They get in and can't climb the glass out. Works great.

    I'm not saying they dont lunge at fish when they swim by but did you personally see the little crab murder the sixline. Food the little crabs eat are tiny most of the time. Was it picking little food off the coral, was it eating little pieces of coral that was already dead. I've had 6 of the little guys in a tank before with not a single problem, and enjoy there attitude. For the most part the Sally lightfoot is a waste or detritus eater.
