Hi Guys and Gals! I need a light strip for my 90 gallon freshwater. The ballasts burned out on ours unexpectedly and we've been wtihout lights for a while. Does anyone have a setup you are willing to part with cheaply?

for your freshwater tank i have always used the twin bulb shoplights from menards with 2 plant/aquarium bulbs. they fit inside a atandard canopy or suspend above the tank or lay right ontop of the glass tops, uasually out the door with light and bulbs for under 35$

I have a Corallife Aqualight Pro 150w metal halide light with 2 actenic bulbs as supplement. Works great all of my corals seems to like it, bulbs could probably be replaced soon but they still work fine. If anyone in the Cedar Rapids/ Iowa City area is heading your way you can have it for free. I'll include the legs and the hanging kit so you can choose how to use it. I was using it for my 90 gallon tank so it should be perfect.

kschrobi, thanks for the offer! I wish someone were going to be that way to pick it up for me! That would be awesome! If anyone sees this and is headed both directions any time soon, let me know and I'll help with your gas! joshua.jebe, I like your idea, too! I may look into that one! Thanks!

Since this is a FW tank you don't need MH, just the Menards strip light and a pair of T8s from Iowa pet foods appropriate to the tank needs.
