Hey guys, I just picked up a new 45g cube (marineland).
The problem is that I'm an idiot when it comes to plumbing and have no idea what to do, or get or what size.
I do know that I will be using soft tubing for the majority of the project. I just need to know what I need to get to attach to the bulk heads.
I.e. name of fitting and sizes.

    Thanks guys

Does it have the bulkheads? I believe those are 1 inch so you just need flexible hose with 1" inside diameter. What kind of return pump do you have?

Sorry, meant to add the bulkheads are probably threaded, so you will need 1" make PVC fitting to barb conversion.

According to the specs for that pump, it should have come with 2 fittings. One for 3/4" hose and one for 1" hose. Typically, you will get more flow & less wear&tear on the pump with using a larger diameter of hose.

    Thanks for the tip lee.
Btw I just got your message about your coral trouble. I still have ha few corals,
they would be small since I just fragged the hell out of them. But I would be happy to give you a few free ones
To get you started again. If you give me a week or two I will have more stuff for you to pick from.
    Just send me another pm
