the problem with pepermint shrimp is they may not do what you are hoping for, plus they usually do not eat the entire thing, just what is showing so they will grow back. Berghias on the other hand will consume the entire pest.

Just a thought, I too had a pretty bad aptasia problem at one time.. figured I would try the peppermints, at first they didn't eat them, but then I reduced feedings and they went for em... all gone /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif

Just a heads up about Berghia's. You have to buy enough of them so that you can establish a breeding population in your tank. How many you need varies depending on the size of your tank, but it can get really expensive really quick. It also doesn't happen over night. It can take months before you notice the Aiptasia start to disappear, but once it starts to happen, it's finished quickly. Once the Aiptasia are gone, so are the berghias, so you either have to capture them and sell them to another hobbyist, or you have to actually feed them by adding Aiptasia to your tank.

I guess my point is that Berghias are sort of the "Nuclear Weapon" when it comes to Aiptasia. It's super effective, but probably should be the last resort.
