And today I came home to these little guys all over my tank, don't know if this many will be good, but will guess some of them will die or get picked off by fish.

pretty cool stuff. looks like u have a lot of zoas on each rock. how far apart do you usually mount them?

I ask because I am mounting a bunch of mine and was placing them about 2-3" apart for now and was thinking it was ok spacing.

Those look like Nassarius snails that eat poo and food in ur sand. Are great for your tank so I am told.

I just really honestly mount where ever looks good.  No method to my madness, some are close some are far.  I do try to space them out a little, and make sure that I'm able to get to thing for fragging purposes.

Well the snails didn't last long like I though. The emarld carb came out and ate dinner, of about 10-15 of them, and so there is about 15 left I would guess, unless more have buried in the sand.
