I had 5 mp40s on the same tank and I still couldnt eliminate all the dead spots. Considering the cost difference it is a no brainer for me

!!!!!!!! Do your SPS like it? Do you feel you are getting good random alternating flow?

So far I only have a few small pieces in with them, so cant really tell. But love the wave action. There is also a setting to reverse flow back and forth, but I havent tried it. I really like it that I dont have anything settling on the tank bottom, but strong enough it is not blowing sand around.

Is there a way to post a phone video @Turbo's Aquatics@Turbo's Aquatics

No, video uploading is way too server intensive for any forum. Not just ours. I did figure out how to link Facebook videos though. It's kind of a pain but it possible.

@Fence13@Fence13 are you around this weekend? I'd like to stop over and see your gyre. Anyone else in the des Moines area with a gyre?

I'm free mostly all weekend. Shouldn't be a problem to work something out.

Sea swirl, Tunze 6125, Vortech mp60. As the corals grew in, the Mp60 ended up turned all the way to the right on a 75.

So I added the GYRE 150 to my 75 gallon after I replaced it with 2 power heads in my cube. 30% was enough power to get more flow through the full tank. I put my MP40 back on the same tank and ran it at 80% to get the same visible flow. The only I put the MP40 back on is because I have the EcoTech battery backup if the power goes out. If I ever get the money for the ICECAP version of that, then I may consider changing out my MP40.

The gyre puts out a lot of flow. No doubt. But not randomized nor chaotic enough. Imho.
