I finally got fish Wed night. Two little ocellaris clownfish for my nano tank. It seems that they aren't taking to the food I was sold and I'm wondering if it's because they are still adjusting or if some fish are just picky and suggestions. The food is New Life Spectrum Marine Fish Formula 150g. I've been giving them litterally 5 or 6 little pellets a few times a day with no visible luck. I did notice last night that they did seem to be pecking at the little white bugs on the glass and floating in the water. (Copepods?) I wondered if they are sustaining with those for now.

Anyway, anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate it.

those are good pellets, try feeding them a little flakes they will come to the top of the water and then be more used to eating food in your tank. clownfish can be wierd mine didn't eat normal for a week, now 3 years later they are happy and fat.

just make sure that you relax, don't put too many pellets in and just let them sit at the bottom cuz that will fowl your water quickly. you can also try mysis shrimp. do you have any crabs? good luck

I have one hermit crab right now. I might have two. One used to play king of the mountain, but I haven't seen him in over a week. I'll see how things go in the next 24 hours and get some mysis over the weekend if needed. Thanks for the input.

    Are they eating now?

Often the first in the tank (or one in initial quarantine) may take a few days to eat.

When fish are added to existing livestock they typically start to feed within a day or so as they follow their tankmates.

Yep, much better now. They've been doing good since last night. Cute little guys aren't hiding as much now, so it's fun to watch them check everything out.
