new fish store in CR

Any Corals?

 

Is it just FW fish or are the SW fish there too? I suppose it's hard to start out a LFS........

 

I called and inquired and he said he has mostly saltwater fish. He said he would be ordering his first batch of soft corals in about a month. Sounded like a real nice guy. I put in the word for some Zoa's /site/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif

 

Hi, my name is Gary and I am the owner of Bo Bo's Fish Store. Today was our second day of business and I was very pleased with the amount of people that stopped by and mentioned they were very happy to finally have a fish store on the SE side of town. I am sorry that some of you may not have enjoyed our store. My goal is to please everybody but sometimes it is just not possible, I welcome any suggestions or items you would like to see in Bo Bo's Fish Store. We are a salt water fish store and as time goes by we will have more product. Corals will be 1-2 months away, just want to make sure we have a good sound water system up and running before investing in a reef display. As for salt water fish... our first purchase stock/inventory was over $1,500 wholesale, so we do have fish and please tell all your friends. Our fish budget will grow as our systems become more stable, don't want to over load the eco-system. Thank you for your time and please come by even if it is just to say hi.

I wish you the best of luck, it is quite a plunge to do something like that. I understand not having many corals yet, gotta ramp everything up slowly.

Zoas will be a hot seller. Where are you from the mt Vernon Rd Hy Vee?

I pass by there on Wed nights so I will stop in & see you sometime. What are your hours?

Thanks for the support and I will for sure look into some Zoas.  We are on the same side of the street as Hy-Vee and we are by the DQ.  We are in the same building as the "payday loan" place.  Our hours are Monday - Friday except Weds Noon to 8 pm.  Weds till 6 pm, Sat. and Sun. hours I am still working on however we will be open 7 days a week.  Hope to see you soon Craig.

I stopped in to BoBo's today and yes, it is small, but it's still a nice little shop.

He had some interesting fish and some nice equipment stocked (Phosban reactor for example).

Prices seemed very reasonable. I didn't expect to be buying anything but I still ended up buying a few things before I left.

My only complaint was the parking was kind of strange at that location, but I think it had more to do with the giant snow piles that are everywhere right now than an actual problem.

It's nice to see a LFS on that side of town.

I stopped there tonight & bought an awesome starfish. Nice guy! Even had our business cards on the counter. Clean tanks & is planning on getting some corals soon.

 

I gave him a stack of our cards today. It's cool that he left them out.
