New Guy from Cedar Rapids

Hey everyone,





My name is Matt. I have always loved Saltwater aquariums. I started a tank to help fill my passion for saltwater. Its a 65 gallon FOWLR.. This is my first tank and I am in hopes to one day have a 180 gallon reef tank.

She has been cycled for about 2 weeks or so now.

65 Gallon

Marineland 900


Zoo med light 10k and actinic 420 ( i know I need more light)


Fluval 406 filter ( will upgrade when i get more cash)


Wants....


More rock ( getting ready to place order with buddy from BRS)


Skimmer ( want and need)


Better filtration


More or better lights


Healthy tank





I been lurking on this site for about a week now and I thought would be better then never to say HI!





Now also I need help with ID 2 things in my tank which I have no idea what they are.

I know the first pic it looks like polyps but what kind or am I wrong?

As Of right now till I get extra cash and the material I need to build one I have to stay sumpless but I want to run a sump....Def when I get the 180 gallon tank That I wnat
