Hey guys I just created an account with GIRS and I look forward to interacting with all of you. I live in Dubuque, IA. I have been keeping aquariums for years but I only have a couple years reefkeeping under my belt. Where do you guys buy your corals!?!? I can't find any good places within 100 miles!

I just upgraded to a 65 gallon DT with a 29 gallon sump. Funny thing, I just sold a pair of Ecotech Radion Pros to a guy in Minnesota. I lost about $300 on them but I still couldn't justify how much they cost. That was my biggest mistake yet. I love Ecotech Marine's products and service but I couldn't stomach having a $2000 light fixture that I didn't really care for. I have a pair of Kessil A350's on the road as we speak. They will be supplemented with a 28 LED DIY fixture that I built last year. The fixture will have 12 royal blues, 12 blues, and 4 UVs controlled by 2 dimmable drivers via reefkeeper. It should be a sweet setup! What are you rockin'?

    Sounds great!

The club has two fests a year that has a ton of coral vendors as well as members selling, it is an awesome time to get corals. Next one is April 8th in Des Moines.

I rock a few LEDS, but mainly I use about 30 medal halides.

Kessils are really nice, you will love them.

I'm also in Dubuque, Exotic Critter Corner down in Maquoketa is worth checking out. They've got a really nice coral selection.
