I am getting ready to setup my mixing station and am looking for new water barrels. Does anyone know anywhere around Cedar Rapdis or Des Moines where I can get new barrels? 55 gallon or bigger.

Theisen's is where I got mine but I think farm and fleet would have them too.

I got my 35 gallon horizontal tanks from Theisens. They had to order that particular size for me, but didn't charge any extra for that. They should be able to order you anything made by ace rotomold.

Awesome, thank you everyone for the response. Here is my next question that I have been thinking about. I can get the blue 55 gallon barrels from here at work (Quaker oats) for free. They have had dye in them that we use for the coloring for our crunch berries. Do you think I could get them clean enough to use for this or would it be to risky?

well, i went ahead and got 4 of them and i am gonna give them a vinegar bath. i already used steam water at work and gave them a good cleaning. now that i got them home i will give them another real good cleaning and fill one up and do some water tests and let them sit and see what i come up with. Free 55 gallon food grade drums are very hard to pass up. If they don't work I am not out anything and can use them for rain barrels and then go buy something from one of the locations mentioned above.
